Just an update that everything turned out A-okay :) If it used 70 degree celsius water, then I sure can't tell - everything is still its rightful size and color. My apartment looks like a jungle with all the stuff hanging from every cabinet possible, but it's a small price to pay for clean (sort of?) clothes.
I still wish I had a dryer. :)

Alia, I distinctly remember there being collapsable wooden frames that people used to dry their clothes on. Czech around. (Ha ha!)
